Description
|
Flagstaffs: ( Flagpoles).
Manufacture is from high strength
fibreglass reinforced and specially
selected polyester resins and pigments,
with a high glass external surface
finish. The flagstaffs can have
traditional style white truck tops or
gold coloured rotating finials, with high
strength halyardsand cleats. Flagstaffs
can be supplied with steel hinged
baseplate ( to facilitate ease of
lowering), steel tabernacles, or steel
brackets, bands and stays. All steelwork
is galvanized as standard, with stainless
steel as an option. Stock range 3m -12m,
13m 25m made on to order.

Fully Rigged Flagstaffs:
Manufacture to customer
reqiurements.Fully rigged Flagstaff with
yard arm and gaff or simpler version with
flagstaff and yard arm, or flagstaffand
gaff. Suitable for hinged baseplates or
tabernacle fixing. Rigged falgstaffs come
complete with stainless steel 6 mm rigged
wire, stainless steel turnbuckles,
galvanized steel bracketry, chain and
anchor points. Halyards, cleat and choice
of top.

Flags: Flags are available
made to Admiralty or bespoke
specifications. Most national flags can
be supplied ex stock. Flags incorporating
company logos or other designand scape
portrsit or banner flags suppled. Screen
printing is used to produce large runs of
the same flag at an economical price.

Banners:Banners fabricated
from PVC are also offered. These have the
advantage that the design is visible
regardless of the wind.Finiched with
eyelets and rope sewn into top and bottom
hem a standard
|
Appearance: All flagstaffs
are supplied in the white
through-coloured fibreglass with a high
gloss finish. Other colours as an
optional extra.

Performance
|
Wind loading : All
fibreglass flagstaffs resist wind loading
as set out in BS CP3: ChapterV, Part 2,
1982 WInd Loads
|
Durability: Fibreglass
flagstaffs have unlimited life.

Methods
of Fitting Flagstaffs
|
All steel work is
galvanized.Stainless
steel. available as an option to
galvanized steel
Hinged base plate: The two
halves of the hinged base plate are
separate d before fixing ; the lower half
is secured by bolts to a foundation of
in-situ concrete. When the concrete is
set , the upper half of the hinge, which
resined to the base of the flagstaff, is
reconnected to the lower half, the
flagstaff is raised and adjusted of the
fixing bolts is made to ensure that the
pole is vertical.

Wall mounted brackets:
Simple- T-brackets and one-way bands
provide a striaghtforward method for
fixing to vertical surfaces.

Angle brackets: T-brackets,
stays and one-way bands permit poles from
3m to 6 m in length to be secured at any
desired angle
Angle baseplates, angled at 45° and 30°
or 60° to vertical as standard.

Tabernacles: Where it is
wished to fix flagstaffs in existing or
new tabernacles., flagstaffs are supplied
with special reinforcement in the lower
few feet.
|
Steel base plates: An
economical and easy to fix method,
suitable for ground or roof fixing. The
base plate is bonded to a steel shaft
within the flagstaff base.

Ground sleeves:A vertical
fibreglass sleeve is buried in the ground
and the flagstaff fits inside this
sleeve. Concrete is not normally
required. Suitable for house builders or
individuals who wish a flagstaff in the
garden.

Maintenance
|
Plymol Flagstaffs are designed for
minimal maintenance. All that is required
to maintain their new appearance is an
occasional wipe with a damp cloth. steel
bases need checking and tightening at
regular intervals
